Every ticket includes the same event experience, and those who purchase at higher levels help make lower-cost tickets possible for others.

Honoring HMD's Director of Programming jhon r. stronk
A queer identifying, gender nonconforming singer, dancer, and choreographer, jhon r. stronks creates work that blends movement and voice to explore evolution, memory, loss, and belonging.
jhon r. stronks currently serves as the Director of Programming for Houston Met Dance, having joined the nonprofit in 2006 as a faculty member and youth company director.
Their choreography blends Modern, Post-Modern, Jazz, Ballet, and Africanist dance traditions into work that is intuitive, thought-provoking, and open to interpretation. Rather than leading audiences to a single conclusion, jhon r. stronks' performances invite each viewer to experience the work in their own way.
This year, we're proud to honor jhon r. stronks at the Sunflower Ball in celebration of two decades of artistry, creativity, and service to HMD and the city's vibrant dance community.
